Re-integrating the Historical District
Downtown Urban Design Strategy
This project is a macro-scale practice of Urban Design in a district with a strong historical character and lots of registered national heritage buildings.
This is a try to bring “the largest historical downtown” in the country back to life.
Improper maintenance of traditional physical and social legacy is the most critical challenge. So, once known as the liveliest and the city’s core, these six neighborhoods are being relatively abandoned.
Today, poverty, drug addiction, vast illegal migrants’ dwellings, and dereliction are some of the most critical issues. We categorize these issues into 8 general categories.
