Residential/Educational Complex in the University’s campus
Shahid Beheshti University campus, Tehran, Iran
Executive summary
Shahid Beheshti University plan to construct a building to hold national conferences and their related workshops and classes. Also, this building needs to provide 48 rooms for professors and special guests who come from other cities.
The site locates on a steeped area, above the soccer field, in the SBU campus in the northern Tehran, Iran. The building must support multi-days conferences, seminars, and workshops. Also, it contains rooms for inviting professors and other important guests.
My main idea was to join 3 main parts of the building ( rooms, communal part, and the hall ) with a central lobby. The circulation is essential in my design; however, it musn’t bother the residential’s calmness.
Since the site locates at a very strategic point in the north of Tehran, I provided a very unique opportunity for the visitors to circulate and enjoy seeing Tehran from the top.
So, the building acts as a “vista-point” too.
